Hallelujah For Holidays!

Mrs Chilly Winters is still very much upon us, so shake off her icy grip and submerge yourself in the hunt for this year’s glorious sun-filled holiday.

From a stunning, eco-luxe beach resort in Brazil to Mallorca’s chicest green boutique hotel, we’ve tracked down four of the globe’s most sustainably stylish boltholes….

Tauana Beach Resort:

If you fancy a couple of weeks of unashamed luxury somewhere exotic, look no further than Tauana’s 9 super-chic bungalows built on the edge of the stunning Brazilian beach of Corumbau. Elegant minimalist design, sumptuous meals made from their own organic produce, scuba diving among the coral reefs, jungle exploration, whale watching or just flat-out relaxation, this bijoux resort aims to please.

And all this loveliness comes with eco-sensitivity too. As well as the organic kitchen garden she created, Tauana’s owner Ana Catarina planted 30,000 trees when she built the hotel, installed an onsite water treatment system to avoid soil contamination, incorporated Piacava into the buildings which is indigenous to the area and designed folding walls which let in the sea breeze to avoid the need for fans.  Genius.
