Hmm, how does one protest peacefully against oil dependency? We’re thinking something fun, a celebration, you know, something that will guaranty absolute maximum exposure… Ah, of course. The World Naked Bike Ride.

Yes, ladies and gents, it’s that time of year again to strip off and show the world your birthday suit, all in the best possible taste (as Kenny would say).  This imaginatively conjured up event is the best one we’ve come across to protest against oil dependency and car culture, and if the naked truth be know, a fabulous excuse to celebrate the power and individuality of the human bod.

Over two days in June, across 50 + cities, thousands of nude riders will hurtle around with only handlebars to cover their modesty.  In the UK alone there are 8 cities baring all, including York and Brighton. Cheeky, eh?  Well you’re guaranteed to see lots of those. Especially in London which expects up to 1000 au natural riders to saddle up.

So what do you reckon? Fancy going the Full Monty? Just promise us one thing: mind the spokes.
