Every so often, usually at 8am, the desperate bid to find a matching outfit transforms us into a whirling dervish with clothes flying left, right and centre. (Not a good look.) Our heads spin with ruthless thoughts of editing the accumulated crap and forming the ultimate capsule wardrobe. Life would become so much easier, wouldn't it? Yes indeed it would. So, have we done it? Nope. Will we ever do it? Er, nope. Ok, so we're never going to be Little Miss Perfect, but we can certainly hold ourselves back from any more random, unco-ordinating purchases. Edun's new season collection is an easy place to start. Great skinny jeans, a sexy silk and cashmere pussy bow blouse, and a versatile selection of tailored jackets - all in a simple palate of black, white and cream. Perfect for mixing and matching with existing items. A God send for anyone suffering from chaotic wardrobe syndrome.
Good for you as you won't have to reach for the fashion manual to work out how to wear their clothes!
Good for the environment because Ali Hewson, Bono and designer Rogan Gregory have produced this fairtrade and 30% organic fashion label with the aim of shifting the focus from aid to trade in the developing world. In 1980, Africa had a 6% share of world trade but by 2002 this had dropped to 2%. Grabbing back just 1% would equal $70 billion in earnings (a hell of a lot more than they currently receive in international aid).
Price Edun jeans from £90, T-shirts from £35, Dresses from £250, Jackets from £260.
